Would you smoke a cigarette? No, of course not. If faced with the decision you'd stand against it and say no, despite what the rest may think. Or would you? This is what being a leader (an individual) is all about. Being strong-minded and doing things uninfluenced by the people around you.

Bullies sometimes gain followers who help them to bully others. They just 'go with the flow' and don't have the courage to say NO! to the bully. These followers don't have much of a mind for themselves and just go with what best fits everyone else.

Leaders, on the other hand, are very influential over others and people aspire to them and their actions and decisions. They aren't easily swayed from what they think is right and they have a mind of their own.

Most children who are bullied aren't brave enough to challenge their bully or speak to someone about their problem, allowing the bully to continuing on bullying. However, if the victim had leader qualities, they'd very easily stop the bullying quickly.

So, if you're up for it, become a leader. It can lead to things such as SRC member, school captain, and in your future life in your career. Who knows, you might be the next manager of a small business or the C.E.O. of a major international company!

Of course, every country needs it 'followers' to run properly but the leaders are the ones who really succeed in life. Remember, being a leader can influence others decisions, both for the good and bad so don't abuse it!
